Summary
Charlotte Fourniere, better known as Mother Charlotte, served as the Mother Superior of Notre Dame, a woman of unwavering faith, strict morals, and an iron will. Much like Claude Frollo, whose ideals mirrored her own, she found in him a kindred spirit. What began as shared prayers, quiet walks, and mutual trust soon grew into something deeper, at least for her.
As impure thoughts began to take root in a mind once devoted solely to faith, Charlotte found herself drawn to him in ways she could neither justify nor suppress. But while her devotion turned into love, his desires lay elsewhere, consumed by an obsession with a woman he deemed both temptation and sin.
Bound by faith, torn by longing, and trapped in a devotion that would never be returned, Charlotte must confront the cruel truth: some prayers are never meant to be answered.
