"You're lucky she's really nice to my boyfriends," Catman said, all sultry voice and teasing that didn't hide any underlying feelings.
He doesn't know why he keeps secrets from Khoa, his bullshit never passes through anyway. Khoa turned full bodied, pointedly not stretching his lower back or hips, where the injure is, held his face and kissed him.

Does anyone but me remember that with the lives both Thomas and Floyd lead, they're probably not getting better but the suicidal impulses have a baseline? Also no? Alright. Goddamn. Anyways, what could be better than going out to the middle of nowhere while a mission is in progress and having a talk about the future you never thought you'd live to see where prying ears can't listen?...Honestly, probably a lot of things are better than that. But fuck it, Catman and Deadshot were never capable of anything resembling normalcy. They attempt to talk if nothing else, and that's a miracle in and of itself.

I absolutely adore Jeannette and think she's sorely underused outside of porn fics [RIP LiveJournal]. I've forgotten where exactly Gail stated that Jeannette is "the beating heart of the Secret Six", but at Wondercon 2024 she at least said Jeannette was her favorite to write. And I, resident Ragdoll cosplayer, took that extremely personally.

Shout-out to the fact I looked Gail Simone dead in the eyes in public the other day and asked her if Floyd and Thomas ever explored each other's bodies [if admittedly in a slightly more PG-13, safe for public spaces way]. Hands down my only life accomplishment this year, and just in time for my birthday too. I also got a book signed and cried in a bathroom.
A bath turns into something more....oops?? Set sometime ambiguously after a lot of the major events of Villains United but before Knockout dies. Title from Blue October's "I Want to Come Back Home".

Tim never wanted to be Robin. He never wanted to bear the responsibility the mantle of Robin came with. He was literally training to be a Rogue like his adoptive mom Selina Kyle.
But someone had to ensure Gotham's rightful protector didn't fall apart after Jason's death. So Tim did what needed to be done and became Robin.
And minus a brief break when he was 16 he's been Robin for 6 years. But having successfully ensured that the Justice League could bring Bruce back he was ready to leave the mantle behind. Besides, with Damian as Robin now he's not needed.
It's time to go back to where he belonged. It's time to go back to being Stray.
