Summary
This story takes the trope where Monsters have been on the surface for about four, going five years. Then, of course, a skeleton tinkered a bit 𝘵𝘰𝘰 much and brought in several versions of him and his brother. Then not even a year after that, he tinkered with it 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯. But instead of bringing (Y/N) into their world, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 got transported into 𝘩𝘦𝘳 world.
A world where Humans, some sentient Mobs species 𝘢𝘯𝘥 hybrids roam the many biomes in this strange place. Co-existing not so peacefully; wars tend to happen often, and who's to blame them? Sabotage and betrayal happen, whether it be intentional or unintentional. Nevermind the fact that instincts between species collide with each other. But it helps keep you alive and hey! Most only live thrice!
A story where Reader is a sentient skeleton, is the head chief of a small village, finding out about a jumble of skeletons, goes to skeletons, befriends them, and not so subtly coaxes them into joining her village, and tries to help them get used to her world. Keyword, 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰. Can't these boneheads recognize the 𝘐𝘕𝘛𝘌𝘎𝘙𝘐𝘛𝘠 in her actions? Its not like she's got ulterior motive- or seeking a datemate- well, not yet anyways... Wait what?

The main ballroom sprawled across three levels, with staircases that curved like ribbons connecting each floor. Musicians played on a raised platform, their melodies drifting through every corner of the castle. The smell of roasted vegetables and fresh bread wafted from the kitchens, mixing with the sweet scent of the flower arrangements that decorated every table.
But Dream found himself drawn away from it all, climbing the winding stairs to one of the higher balconies. His golden circlet felt heavy on his skull. He was supposed to be the life of the party, spreading joy and positivity to everyone around him. That was his nature, his purpose as the Guardian of Positivity.
Instead, he felt something else entirely.

Summary
The world was turned on its head when monsters emerged from Mount. Ebott. Not only because of the whole other civilization that laid forgotten under the mountain, but the magic that was released with them. It didn't just change the world, it changed the people. Literally. Over a third of the world's population turned into monsters, horns and fur and tails sprouting from their skin. The lucky ones were further away from the mountains, their turning being gradual and generally painless.
You were unlucky enough to be in Ebott City when the monsters emerged. Your turning was recorded as one of the worst cases, turning you into a skeleton. The turning was so bad that you had stayed behind in the converted mental hospital for a full year, learning how to cope and adjust to your new form.
You can't stay forever, though, and it was now time to go out, to be released back out into the real world. It was time to get back to it. And you had a very generous house of monsters ready to welcome you in and help you get back onto your feet.

If the vague and not-so-vague threats hadn’t scared her enough already, a towering, scarred, evil-looking version of the super-strengthed Papyrus she knew charging towards her was enough to cause Em to panic an understandable amount. The blue skeleton prepared himself, the purple skeleton looked on in annoyance, the orange skeleton hung on for dear life, Rus and the red skeleton looked on in bored, sadistic amusement, and Evil Papyrus took no heed of her pleas.
“Stop!” Em yelled, throwing her hands up. A tingling, twitching, trembling sensation not entirely unlike what she had just experienced tumbled from her chest, spreading to every inch of her body in a flash. Now separating her from all of the other skeletons was a faintly glowing dome of light, just barely perceptible to the eye.
What was not barely perceptible to the eye, and unfortunately very, excruciatingly, perceptible was Emery’s pants falling down to her mid thigh and her accompanying screech before she righted herself. Though... mid thigh may not have been the correct vernacular used here. Mid femur would suit the situation much more accurately.
It would seem as though Em was now a skeleton monster.
