Despite this, Patrick and Pete find themselves growing closer together, especially now that Pete had practically moved in with Patrick. It was great, and everything seemed perfect, but they both knew something wasn't quite right. Their heartstrings were being strung tight around their hearts. The time stuck inside with one another, 24/7, was slowly wearing on them. Eventually, one of them would burst, wouldn't they? One of them would have to say something soon. If he could stay traveling on the road with his partner and best friends forever, playing sold out shows for rooms full of joyful screaming kids who know every single word he’s written, thanking him, thanking his band for doing what they do, he would.
It would be an absolute pleasure to have that opportunity, to grow old doing this, to ride it all out until he’s physically unable to perform any longer. To scream until his lungs give out.
