The midterm was rough, and he heard rumors that Professor Heimerdinger’s finals were even worse. Besides, the Professor didn’t offer a curve, so Jayce couldn’t hope that just being high above average will save his (so far perfect) GPA.
He knew he would be able to do it on his own, but he could use some help. Perhaps get some motivation. Maybe find a study partner who would help him out on more difficult problems. Basically, Jayce just really needed to lock in.
Therefore, when he overheard some classmates talking about an app called Grindr, his attention was piqued.

“I am right here, you know,” Viktor said bitterly, not taking kindly to how they spoke of him like he was Jayce’s pet. He doesn’t understand what they mean that Jayce has “claimed” him, but he isn’t appreciating the way they’re meaning it.
“The people of Zaun aren’t of immediate danger to us anyway,” Mel spoke now, and though Viktor has never really gotten along with her, he’s grateful for her usage of the proper title of Zaun. “And you should all place respect on Viktor’s name, despite his part of House Talis regardless.”
“Thank you,” Viktor said, not quite understanding again what this talk of being a Talis, but he chooses to focus on Mel openly defending him. “And as Jayce previously mentioned, Hextech is not to be weaponised.”

Jayce didn’t know when it all started.
Maybe it was in the middle of a lecture, when his pencil began sketching in the margins of his notebook without permission, out of boredom.
Maybe it was in the stillness of a morning after he woke from a dream he couldn’t quite remember that he first saw that face.It was as if the art was directing him not the other way around.
Hooded lids filled with wonder, a little rueful. Eyes that looked right through him. And brows, thick and furrowed in concentration. Then came the mouth soft, a little thin. Curl of a perpetual smile on the edges. An imperfectly perfect nose. Cheekbones. A jawline. The shape of a face.
Finally two little beauty marks. One on the cheek under an eye, one by the upper lip.
