Once, V looked out at Night City from the thirty-third floor of Arasaka Tower- counter-intelligence, the branch that let her climb the ranks as the best field agent they had. But after being smote down for her hubris, this is the second time she's drowning in the mud. It will also probably be the last. While she might be able to save her rep, she knows she can't save her life.
A blaze of glory is all that's left for her. To get there, though, she has to survive as a lone merc in a bitter world, counting down the days by the tick of a bomb in her head named Johnny Silverhand. If she plays her cards right, he'll get her back to 'saka's door for one last meeting- just not as herself.
She's a dead woman walking, cleaved to a ghost that isn't hers. So every moment counts.

A (mostly) chronological series of vignettes spanning Acts 1-2 of the game. Less plot-focused, more V slowly spiralling as she reminisces on old mistakes and makes new ones.

We're keeping it classic with a first Act, a second and a third for the conclusion.

Once I'll have finished the first part, I'll post the second and then the last as separate works, even if it's essentially the same book, simply out of convenience.
The word count is getting wild, but it doesn't really matter to me. We're getting into ASOIAF and In Search of Lost Time territory and that's the kind of story I dig, that's how rich the narrative threads left at the end of Cyberpunk 2077 appeared to me, that's how much I think there's to tell in that universe. The only problem being obviously that I'm no GRRM or Proust, so know that I'll keep things simple and the project is pretty clear to me.
The story is completely outlined, the plot ends and will be contained in between the in-story time window I pretty much spelled out early, and I write major scenes in between my regular chronological progress. All that remains is to trace the way there and enjoy the journey.- Words:
