Summary
A week before former nomad V met Jackie Welles, she was turned into a vampire. V struggles to cope with this while also starting a new life in Night City. He talks her into giving life as a vampire a try.
Jackie himself is eventually turned in the wake of the heist and sets out to help V find a solution to the Relic stuck in her head afterwards. In the meanwhile, neither are happy about the ride-along, Johnny Silverhand, while Jackie struggles to manage and accept his new state of being.
Vampire AU, Jackie and T-Bug live, Jackie helps V on main quests throughout the story.

I'm going to be regularly adding more stories to this series and also writing some fluff stories that stand on their own.
I love writing about V and Panam but I just can't keep up with posting every week it two consistently.
This series follows the relationship that builds between V and Panam through the game that leads to The Star ending. I also add in a lot more detail of their relationship that we didn't see in the game.
All of my stories are focused on the deep sacrificial devotion between them along with their fears and set backs.

Summary
This is the story we should have been given. It picks up from the beginning of Act 2 and Follows V and Goro as they struggle to save themselves from the machinations of Arasaka. Misty, Vik, Johnny and others will play important roles across the story, and have been expanded upon as such. This fic will follow the main storyline of the game to a point, but will slowly diverge from it bit by bit. Gradually, a new story will emerge. A story of found family, love, and the ghosts of who we are. I have rejected every cannon ending of Cyberpunk 2077 in favor of my own. I hope you choose my ending too, when we eventually get there anyway.

It started with a smile, that damn smile.
Or was it her eyes? The tattoos maybe? To be honest, V was thrown so off guard in that moment waiting at the bar that she couldn’t even remember what it was exactly that inexplicably drew her to this woman out of all people in Night City. All she knew was that the woman that was now reclined in the chair in front of her threw off her normally steely and composed demeanor without even trying. V had to remind herself that she was a professional merc working the gig of a lifetime, not some choomba looking for some company on a Friday night.
A fic about how V came into this gig totally prepared before Judy ruined all her plans-for the better. They're gonna have their ups and downs before eventually leaving this god forsaken city together. We've got action, feelings, V being a gonk, and yes-smut (Ch. 8, 12, 17, 20).

Six months of working low-level gigs together has propelled Jackie and V into the major leagues by way of an Afterlife fixer named Dex DeShawn; Dex has offered them the job of jobs, almost guaranteeing their legendary status among Night City mercs... IF they can actually pull it off. But first, there are some housekeeping items to be handled in the form of ornery Maelstrom gangers and an uppity Militech corpo trying to cover her own ass.
Like all things in Night City, the pair of mercs learn that nothing is what it seems, and even the most hardened edgerunners are only mere seconds away from being eaten alive.
Canon divergence during the quest "The Pickup". V has already met with Meredith Stout and been given the spiked credit chip. But she never expects the Spanish Inquisition... or that the Maelstrom are already tracking her every move through Northside.
