Richie figures it must just be because Eddie’s drunk. He’s never seen him drink more than he did tonight, after all. So that must be it. He’s just fucking hammered. Maybe even blacked out! So that's how Richie found himself bending down and collecting wildflowers on his way home. He wasn't even sure if it was legal, which made it feel a bit more badass even though, in reality, he was literally a teenage boy picking flowers like a four year old girl.
Or Richie starts collecting wildflowers, and that's only the beginning of his ever-growing snowball of lies.
