Summary
Twilight has been keeping a secret from the chain. So long as he wasn't around them during a full moon it was okay. He could pretend that he is just like the rest of the chain, that he wasn't a monster. With the full moon waning he thought the worst thing that he and Wild would have to deal with in their cell was some harassment from board Bokoblins. That was until his bones started to ach and the night sky took on a reddish hue.
Surely it was too soon for a full moon?!
(Rated for blood and injury as it has details about wounds and depicts Twilight transforming into a wolf.)

The queen cleared her throat again, passively telling the man to focus as she reiterated the question. “Link, what do you live for?” Her tone was louder now, bordering between her previous tranquility and a normal speaking tone. Her face was paler now, not by much, but perhaps a scintilla of a shade lighter.
“I would die for you,” He murmured, “and this kingdom without second thought.” The answer, in his view, was acceptable. That was what he was raised and hired to do after all.
Her tone turned ice-cold, so cold that the captain could feel a new chill forming in the air. Rain turned to ice against the windows, and the blue article around his neck became less of a habitual outfit choice, and more of free insulation. “That’s not what I asked.”

Captain's depression resurfaces, he fails at adulthood, his mental health crumbles, and everyone handles everything poorly :D

“That’s not a compliment,” the anti-fairy in the lantern hanging from Legend’s belt retorted. Or rather, the hero disguised as a fairy disguised as an anti-fairy said.
(Or: Half the Chain have been poisoned by monsters, who made off with the two smallest heroes in the process. It’s up to Legend and Hyrule to rescue them. Luckily, Legend has a special item for just such an occasion…)
