There’s no response from him as he rummages through the topmost layer of bottles, eyes alighting with minor triumph as he finds what he's been searching for. You watch mutely as his hand resurfaces with a bottle of sunscreen.
“Wouldn’t want you to get burned, baby.” His voice has over-affected concern, cool and calm as he approaches you with malicious intent. “Lemme help you out.”
“Okay,” you agree, apprehensive as he nears. “Go for it.”
