    Bucky Barnes’ second chance felt like marking time until he met Stark’s daughter. Sam Stark saw him as a person first and a soldier second, the first person to ask him if he would choose to be healed instead of being a weapon. Maybe it was the dogged determination she showed or her total lack of hubris, but she snuck past the plates in his armor and set up shop where she didn’t, couldn’t, shouldn't belong.

    Six months after the whole mess with the Flagsmashers, Bucky’s life is going pretty well, apart from the headaches. Sam is Captain America, Bucky’s his right-hand man both in the field and in the apartment they now share, and they’re slowly but surely working on getting the Avengers up and running again.
