He nods.
Theo threads his hands back into Parrot’s wings and says, “Don’t be embarrassed bro! Shit is totally normal. Make as many noises as you want, for real. It’s just me and you here anyways, man.”
Parrot can feel that his feathers are definitely fluffed out to the max now, and his wings stretch out in every-which-way Theo needs them to. It probably looks ridiculous. His face is absolutely burning up.

“Deck the halls?” Ken laughs, earning an “Exactly” from Wato. Why the heck not. There are crazier things happening in this Christmas party (there’s already a gambling ring of some sort), and Ken still has to get payback for Parrot making their character a pushover. And also killing Wifies twice. They shrug, and Wato takes that as her cue for chaos, for whatever inane reason.
“PARROT!” Wato yells, completely too loud and much too out of character, “YOU HAVE MET KEN UNDER THE MISTLEFOE! PREPARE FOR A FIGHT TO THE DEATH!”
Heads turn to them, and Parrot has stopped completely in his tracks, staring at the duo incredulously. Ken sputters out muffled laughter, and Wato looks like she is simultaneously proud of her (questionable) actions and wants to dig a grave for herself.

There were days when Parrot seemed to disappear off into his own world. His eyes, usually bright with greens and stubborn golds and determination, would glaze over with fog and death. The constant fidgeting that characterized his movements would suddenly cease and still. And his voice, already quiet, would disappear off the face of this world into wherever he went instead.
The Director had expected one of these days to arrive sometime during Paragon. But these things were hard to predict, much less how soon it arrived.
That’s what he thought when he looked down at Parrot, lying down in the cherry blossom field, suddenly loose with fog, eyes glazed over, staring dead in The Director’s eyes with no quiet thought.
