A scoff fills the air and Shiro fidgets with his own empty glass. “Whoever wrote the law ‘An Omega cannot lead a wolven pack unless he or she rules with a mate at their side’ should be tortured with a silver spike.”
“Wait." Keith pauses his angry scrubbing and turns his full attention back to Shiro. "Is that the exact wording of the law?”
“Yeah,” Shiro nods, then thinks better of it as the movement combined with his large intake of alcohol decides to make the world around him spin in an unnatural fashion. “It’s written exactly like that. There is no way for me to get out of getting married if I want to be leader of the pack.”
“Well, yeah… But it didn’t say you had to marry an Alpha.” Keith states it in a matter of fact tone like it’s the most obvious thing in the word.

Keith looked up at the sign as snow buffeted his face from the side, frowning. Something wasn’t right.
--Keith is a dhampir, and Shiro is a normal human friend with some magic powers. At least one of those statements, however, turns out to be untrue once Keith finds the blood and petals strewn over the floor of Shiro's wrecked shop.

“Fuck.” Lance groans, throwing his head back and cursing at the resounding shooting pain when it hits the wall. He stares up at the ceiling, feeling the wall behind him shake with the deep bass of the music playing around them. Keith’s grip on his shirt doesn’t slacken, neither does the steely gaze he’s directing at Lance. Waiting on an answer.
“Come on, you can’t even tell me you don’t want it too.” Keith grins wickedly, leaning in to press a kiss to the corner of Lance’s lips. “You can have it. Right now. Right here. Why bother waiting another minute?”
And well, when he phrases it like that, what good reason would Lance have to say no to this?

Thirteen years ago, Shiro lost his brother. No one would believe him about what he saw that night, about the creature with the glowing eyes and fangs the length of a finger, about the way his brother vanished into thin air in the arms of this creature.
Thirteen years, and Shiro has not stopped looking. Will never stop looking. Keith is out there, somewhere. He has to be. Shiro didn't spend the last decade searching for a corpse. he refuses to give up searching, and this search leads him to a town in the middle of Arizona.
And despite the horror that follows him home, Shiro can't seem to find anything wrong with his life. Or remember anything that happened on his so-called 'vacation'.

Keith was unusually cuddly today.
Shiro hadn't wanted to say anything at first, too afraid that his words would put Keith off and stop the ample amounts of affection he was receiving from his normally reserved boyfriend. But an hour in to cuddling on the couch and watching movies as they ate dinner, Keith started to softly gnaw on the fingers of Shiro's prosthetic arm.
An action that the vampire typically did when he was in pain.

And Lance the cute older Librarian who watches over Downbrookes Ley lines along with Allura the Vampire Slayer, happens to be in the crossfire as Shiro is cursed by the witch hagger making him give into his baser Sire instincts.
Lance is anything but the damsel in distress, so Shiro losing control? is nothing but a blessing in disguise. -

But Keith has somehow gone even paler in the short amount of time he’s been at the table, and he shakes his head. “No, something is . . .” His gaze flickers back to Lance, and he’s startled to find that Keith’s eyes are purple. They’ve got to be contacts. Ridiculous. As if the mullet and gloves and personality weren’t enough.
Keith pushes away from the table abruptly, looking incredibly put-off now. “I, uh—gotta go,” he mutters, before angrily gathering up the backpack he’d dropped into the chair next to him and storming out of the cafeteria.
“Huh,” Hunk says. “Well, that introduction could have gone a bit better. Don’t take it personally though; sometimes Keith’s just like that.”

Or, a Twilight au starring Lance as Bella, Keith as Edward, and the rest of the Voltron gang as themselves. Lance is insufferable, Keith is awkwardly trying to figure out why Lance is the way he is, and along the way they fall in love, or something. It's probably, definitely the best love story since Twilight itself.
