“Take her. Please, she’ll die on her own,” the woman continued, now gasping for breath as all the color drained from her face.
Willy shook his head. “No. No, you’re going to be okay. I’ll- I’ll stop the bleeding, somehow-“ he glanced up, and for a fleeting moment he believed that he could save her.
“You can’t,” she murmured. “You can’t. It’s alright. As long as my Noodle is.”
