After putting the Chocolate Cartel in jail where they belonged, it seemed Willy Wonka had everything. His business, his shop (and later his factory), and above all, a family in the form of his adopted daughter, Noodle.
This begs the question: all those years down the line, why did the famed Mr. Wonka need a boy like Charlie Bucket if he already had a child, a successor, and heir? When he had Noodle?
Simple: because she wasn't there anymore.
Which...begs another question. How the hell...is he supposed to live with that?

Noodle stares at that last one. When Willy had called last, he’d been talking about that. "Never-melting ice cream!" he’d said. "The world has never seen anything like it! It’ll come out next month, please do have a taste, Noodle-Apple strudel, and tell me what you think!"
There’s no way Fickelgruber came up with exactly the same thing at the same time and – even worse – managed to get it on the market sooner than Willy did. And… Closing the factory? Willy?!
Her hand clenches on her bag until the blood leaves her knuckles.
