“Arthur. You cannot be serious.” Voice pitched low so that only Arthur would hear him, Felix stood beside the other man, body trembling as dark, almost black eyes turned on him. There was a sharpness to Arthur’s eyes, to his smile, that promised retribution when it was just the two of them behind closed doors.
“As you can see, he is mainly housebroken. But he still needs to be put in his place on a regular basis. He needs to be taught a firm lesson, as it were. You can take Felix if you want him. Consider him my little welcoming gift to you. He’s not as pretty or as young as he once was, but at least he’ll keep thin for you. And he’s very obedient when remembers to mind his manners.”
“No, Arthur, please.”
“Do you think that you can handle him, Wonka? He is clearly in need of some remedial lessons.”
“I think I shouldn’t have a problem, Arthur. I thank you for the gift. I shall make sure to use it thoroughly before your return. Perhaps he could do with a reminder of precisely who he deserves to be owned by. Property doesn’t get to choose its master.”

Noodle loses her breath for a moment. She parts her lips for air, but there is only the dark, rich memory of something bittersweet, something not good for her.
“I couldn’t bear it,” he adds, with a sad mien.
She nods wordlessly.
His face is cold and violet in the evening light, violet lips, violet veins, violet eyes, a boy without feeling, really. For all his cheerful affect, for all his merry-making and whimsy, there is a beautiful remoteness in him. Perhaps, when his mother was alive, there was feeling in him. Now there is a lovely emptiness, a desire to give shape, a creator’s greed for making life out of his creations.
“Good,” he says, bending down and kissing her fingers.
How will he create her?
(Explicit featuring an underage character, so watch out for that, but it's in service to the narrative, which is very well executed and not romanticized. It's actually the primary source of horror in the work.)

Working for Wonka’s chocolates isn’t exactly a dream come true, but it could be worse. Sure, your boss is a little bit over-enthusiastic. And forgetful. And has a habit of trying to pay you with chocolate sovereigns if you aren’t too careful with your weekly pay. But at least he doesn’t have a clue how much of a crush you have on him.
When Mister Wonka asks you to help test out his latest line of products, you jump at the chance. Too bad you weren’t paying attention to which chocolates he was asking for your help with.
