Here, Max is not a driver but a striker for PSV Eindhoven, and Charles is just an ordinary Monaco student studying in the Netherlands.
An away-day humiliation nails Charles to a damp, freezing stand—and nails the victor Max’s gaze to him in return. Max, using a burner account, pretends to be a fellow Monaco supporter, quietly listening to Charles’s piano, staying up with him at night, turning the afterheat of defeat into a daily, tender attachment.

Charles names Max as the most attractive driver on the grid. Max spirals.

Summary
Charles could only watch in growing horror as Max turned the glass over and drank the pink liquid in just a few gulps. He lowered the glass with a sigh and wiped the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand, then looked at Charles.
“This is really good. What kind of drink is this?” he asked, looking curiously at the glass and then back at Charles.
But Charles was too busy staring at the way his naturally blue eyes flickered and turned pink before returning to normal to think to answer. A sure sign that the potion had worked after all.

OR Charles is a young wizard determined to prove his worth by brewing a love potion. This time nothing could go wrong - no fires or explosions.
So of course Max fucking Verstappen had to go and take the damn potion.

He’s biting into his lime when he feels an arm snake its way around his waist. It scares him at first, the hand giving his hip quite the squeeze, before he turns to see Max very clearly drunk out of his mind.
“I didn’t know you were here tonight,” Charles says, leaning in a bit so that Max could hear him more clearly. Max sends him a sleazy smile and blinks slowly, looking Charles up and down once.
“Well I wasn’t going to come, but now I’m really glad I decided to.”

Lance smiled to himself as he strolled through the paddock, the sun shining with the perfect temperature. Nothing could dampen his mood. Not even Max Verstappen walking past him in sunglasses with a child at the end of a backpack leash. Wait… Max Verstappen with a child in a backpack leash?
In other words max is losing his mind over the rb20 and decides to go on an adoption spree, as seen through chats and drivers running into him.

“What,” Charles chokes out, has no idea what Max is on about, he can’t focus-
Especially when Max shuffles closer, crowding him even further against the wall. He continues, hasty and frantic, “This is safer than fighting. We don’t get hurt, no one gets in trouble. We blow off steam with each other. Makes sense, yes? Yes?”
“I-I don’t-”
Before Charles can begin to formulate a response, Max is ducking in again, kissing him again, and Charles is stunned into stillness.
