“No Choso, I want to be alone,” Seconds later, the front door closes behind him.
Between Sukuna leaving footsteps of blood behind him, their dad being trapped on a deserted island surrounded by a sea of piercing objects, and a Yuji that just stormed out the front door, the choice of who to attend is obvious.

The suicide of Kaori Itadori became the catalyst for a complicated sibling relationship between Sukuna, Choso, and Yuji. Despite it being thirteen years since her passing they all struggle to navigate the grief, guilt, and trauma, both individually and as a family. Also, why is he so wary of the adults, reserved with his words, mostly glaring at everyone beside Yuuji, never smiling, and flinching at every touch?
Or: Sukuna is five for a few days, and Yuuji takes care of him, getting more and more concerned at how he must have been treated as a child if his behavior is anything to go by.

Saparata was fairly sure Ish knew, but he entertained the question anyway, the dull buzz of pain in his bones subsiding ever so slightly. It was the tamest the ache had ever been, only a portion of the all-consuming burning he sometimes felt.
“Looking,” he replied mildly.
Ish hummed, “Looking.”
“For my soulmate,” Saparata said, and then laughed a little.

The further you are from your soulmate, the more it hurts. Saparata didn't feel pain until Pandora, and then it was so constant he nearly forgot what it was supposed to mean.
The pain of betrayal drives him to Yggdrasil, and the lack of pain in the Covenant keeps him there, for a while.
