Road trips. Redemption. Grandpa Voldie is always watching a la ceiling!cat. Religious guilt!closeted!Snape. Pulls you in from the intro scenes. Poignant and well plotted 'Muggle'/magicless AU with several well-done character arcs and an easy to follow plot with mystery remaining throughout. 100k felt more like 60k. Incredibly memorable. The kind of fic you surface back to reality from quite dazed, going: whoa. Quite a few original themes, well researched. Sweet and deep. Redemption theme (for the irredeemable) is strong with this one.
