She’s completely locked in place, every muscle tense as she helplessly watches Lilia usher Billy into a chair and Jen place a cup of tea in front of him.
Echoes of the coven's conversation float around her head, something about it being the time of year for such things, how he probably caught it off of Eddie.
Somewhere in the back of her mind she registers that it’s probably just a cold, but the thought is miles away, it’s somewhere here, in the present day. And Agatha’s thoughts are far from the present, a barrage of memories overtaking her as the sound of coughing rattles in her head.
“Hello, is this the Office of Eastview High School? Hi, I’m Alice Wu, I’m William Kaplan’s aunt. I’m just calling to inform you that Billy won’t be in attendance today. He’s sick.”

Imogen kissed the veil, pressing it to Laudna’s cheek. “It doesn’t matter what you look like.” She gripped Laudna’s head, behind the ear, and Imogen’s eyes lit up white as her thoughts sounded in Laudna’s brain. You sound the same in here.

She knew this, surely? Imogen had been very clear, from the very first time that they met, that every thought in Laudna’s head would work its way into Imogen’s, that she couldn’t control it, that she saw everything even when she didn’t want to. She must have seen this. They’ve been working together to build up Imogen’s mental walls so she can try and block out the thoughts, have been practicing every night. And it’s working! Imogen is very capable.
And she’s said it before, she thinks. She must have. And Imogen has been with her every day for the past two months. What did she think she was looking at?

After fleeing the mob (again), Imogen and Laudna hide out in an abandoned house, and talk. It’s all rather a lot for Laudna.

She and Imogen fluttered about the house together, knocking elbows and hips, spending easy hours luxuriating in the blanketing peace of knowing this - this house, this life, these hands together - was theirs to keep. Laudna basked in getting to spend time arranging the place just so, knowing they would be staying, knowing she could take her time finding the right places for things without having to worry about strategizing exit routes.
The problems of the children of Drear could get the same treatment - the right solutions, well considered. There was no need to rush. They weren’t going anywhere.
After everything, Imogen and Laudna get their home, and the town of Drear gets a dose of magic mending.

The cloaked figure turns around quite abruptly and drops their cloak, and Imogen sees that it’s a woman she’s been following, albeit kind of a weird one. Her skin is a sallow pale, practically grey, and her hair is stringy and black with a solid streak of white across the top. It’s got a hammer sticking out of it, weirdly. The woman smiles, and it takes up all of her face, her black eyes widening, her teeth a little sharp, her cheeks stretching farther than cheeks should be allowed to go. She looks like a walking nightmare, but she sounds like the softest of lullabies, and Imogen practically feels the breath leave her chest.

An exploration of the old lie that if one makes a face too many times, it'll get stuck that way.
Laudna can make a very scary face, and in her nightmares, she is unable to dispel it. Luckily, Imogen is well versed in nightmares, and she has the unique ability to journey into her friend's subconscious to fix whatever ails her.
Set at Zhudanna's, and in dreams. The rest of the Bell's Hells only appear briefly in dream.
