He's just starting to wonder where Porsche has fucked off to when a voice sounds from right near him, raised almost to a shout in order to be heard over the music and throngs of people.
"Wanna dance?"
Turning to find the owner of the voice, he finds a man standing very close, silk shirt open to the point that Pete wonders why he bothers to button it in the first place, as well as black jeans that make the man's thighs look amazing. As his gaze drifts back upward he's taken in by the cheekbones that make him believe in divine favor, feline eyes, and soft-looking dark hair. The lights flash off the man's jewelry when he tilts his head.
"Well? You wanna?"
Giving him another once over, Pete knocks back the last of his drink, setting the glass on the bar.
"Yeah, actually."

Two months.
Phayu likes to think he’s a patient man, and generally he is.
Rain’s been gone for two months on his internship, though, and Phayu’s patience has worn thin. He’s proud of Rain for having landed the internship he did- it was extremely competitive, and Phayu helped Rain through any number of stress-induced meltdowns, but in the end Rain had been one of the lucky few chosen. It's going to look amazing on a resume once he graduates, and from everything Rain’s been saying, he’s learning a lot, gaining a bunch of helpful experience, as well as a few contacts in the industry.
That doesn’t change the fact that he hasn’t seen Rain in two months except through a screen.

Summary
The guards outside the office door aren’t expecting a five-year old to come barreling around the corner, and aren’t fast enough to stop him when he yanks the door open.
“Pa! Look at the otter I got for-”
He skids to a stop, unable at first to make sense of what he’s seeing.
There’s someone on the floor in front of his father’s desk, unmoving on the large area rug. There’s something about how they’re laying- the absolute stillness- that sends a chill up and down his spine, makes a stone start to form in his tummy that he’ll later learn to call dread.
“…pa?”
His father is off to the side, a switchblade in his hand that he’s wiping off with a handkerchief he’s pulled from a pocket.
“What have I told you about just running in here without knocking first? I could have been in a meeting.” Gun closes the knife, tucking it into a pocket and tosses the used handkerchief, now stained red, on top of the body on the floor. He gives Vegas a considering look, then beckons him over from where he’s still frozen just inside the doorway.
“Come here, Vegas.”

The man is doing a fairly good job of not looking as terrified as he obviously is, only shaking slightly as he nods.
"So when I tell you that I will make you suffer horrendously until you tell me what I want to know, you know I'm telling the truth."
The man nods again, audibly swallowing. Vegas smiles his most disconcerting smile at him.
"If you tell me where your guest is being kept, I will ensure you die very quickly, and relatively pain-free. If you don't, I will make you wish your parents never had the misfortune of producing you. Do you understand?"

They’re just wrapping up their discussion when there’s a sound loud enough they can hear it through the window that overlooks the main floor, a cross between a thwack and a thump, followed by raised voices.
Nop heads to the window, looking out over the sparse crowd, and spots the source at the bar.
“Hey, isn’t he one of Kinn’s?”
Interest piqued, Vegas heads over, stopping next to Nop to look down where he’s pointing.
A man in black has another larger man held face down on the bar, keeping him in place with one arm across his shoulders and the other holding the pinned man’s arm wrenched up behind his back. He can already see some of the club’s bouncers heading that way, but in the meantime the smaller man tosses his head, trying to get his hair out of his eyes, and Vegas gets a glimpse of his face.
“I think he is, yeah. Come on.”

Minho doesn't think when he offers Jisung his leather-gloved hand. And Jisung takes it without hesitation, the touch light, for balance and form, but Minho feels the warmth as if it were skin on skin, searing through the leather like flame.
The noise surrounding them rises as soon as Jisung appears, all attention focusing on him.
