Summary

”Um… Hat Guy?” The unprecedentedly meek (and cute) dragon murmurs after her Wanderer. He turns, eyeing the little thing as it shuffles anxiously on her porch. He sighs, gesturing haphazardly.
“Mage; Durin, Durin; Mage. Happy now?” He crosses his arms, and though there’s no change in his tone Mona can tell by the way his arms tense that he’s getting impatient. “Come inside, before someone sees you.”

.In advance of Durin’s transmutation, the Wanderer accompanies him to Mondstadt. Mona resolves to give the little dragon one last day of his childhood before he sets out for the future.

Albedo chuckles softly. “Don't worry. This is just a replica—you know I wouldn't put you in any unnecessary danger.” Almost as if to demonstrate, Albedo picks up the red King piece on his side, idly rolling it between his gloved fingers. He pauses, lips curling in a half-sheepish smirk as he rethinks his words. “....Without your consent, that is.”

“I told Alice about you in my last letter,” he said, twisting a piece of her bangs between his fingers. “She’s insisting on pictures. Do you mind if I send this to her?”
Heavens below, Lumine missed having a family. She laid her forehead against his and thumbed at the blaze on his neck while her heart swelled. “Go right ahead.”
Albedo looked back down and teased the page out of his book. He started a fresh sketch on the next page. “I look forward to introducing you two.”
She adjusted to put her chin on top of his head. “Me too. When do you think she’ll be back?”
“I have no earthly idea. Klee’s mother is even more unpredictable than she is.”

She's just about to turn and run after the two of them, when familiar gloved hands lock around her waist and then she's spinning right into him, his lips meeting hers in a kiss so chaste, so quick, she doesn't even have the time to process it before he's letting her go and giving her the polite proper space he always keeps between them while in public.
"Apologies," he says simply, his grin a little too sharp, a lot too self-satisfied and smug. "I really did miss you."
