Summary
What if 'Clark Kent' as we know him, was born and raised on Krypton. What if the planet was destroyed on his 19th birthday, and this time, instead of Kal-el and Kara Zor-el being the only Kryptonians to survive, a much larger group of them do.
Earth must learn to co-habitate with these new 'aliens' in their solar system. The Kryptonians must learn to control and not monopolise their extreme strength. What better way to do this then to arrange a marriage between the youngest surviving member of the Kryptonians, and the easily-controlled Gothamite billionaire play-boy.

Soulmates aren't a sure thing. It's up to the universe to decide that you are exactly the right person for another at exactly the right time. For Eddie, the right time came at thirty-two years old, had felt completely wrong, and he has managed to (mostly) ignore it for another three years. Ignoring it might be the cause of the problem.

The only part of the trip that gave Steve any hesitation was Eddie’s involvement. Five days in the woods with the kids? No problem, Steve was practically built for that kind of stuff. Backwoods camping without any access to resources? No sweat, Steve hadn’t become an Eagle Scout for nothing. But five days alone with Eddie? That was unknown territory.

“Dude, we should, like, test him.” Gareth says while passing the shared joint over to Jeff. They were hanging out in Steve’s backyard, a small party going on around them. Maybe it's disrespectful to be gossiping about a man whose backyard you’re smoking in and whose beer you’re drinking, but Eddie considers every misdemeanor towards Steve pay back, nowadays.
“Test him?”
“Yeah, like, everyone here thinks he’s so great, y’know? Except for us, of course. We should test him, to see if they’re right. And if they’re not, we can tell everyone, so they stop hanging out with a douchebag.”
“And how are you gonna test him, Dingus? Gonna give him a pop quiz? Ask him to name three feminist writers, tell him to write 200 words on Martin Luther King?” Jeff scoffs as he’s pulling out the grass from underneath his fingers.
He's so focused on watching Jeff’s grass-stained fingers passing him the joint that he almost misses Gareth’s suggestion. “No man,” he pouts a bit. “Eddie should like, flirt with him.”
Eddie doesn’t even feel embarrassed by his sudden coughing fit from inhaling the smoke into the wrong pipe. “I should what?!” He asks, still a little raspy from the weed.

You can circus it up all you want, dance on a fucking pole for all I care.’ He smirks coldly, rises to stand first. ‘I’m gonna fuck you up, and beat your ass, and tank your client while giving mine the best shot he has, and I’ll do it on the taxpayer’s dime because your breed?’ he utters, shaking his head, smile dark and disgusted, ‘sicken me. So, fuck your plea deal, Harrington, ‘cause I sure as shit already fucked you.’
