Summary
Ian lets out a breath as he settles in. He keeps watching the TV for a while, tired, but not tired enough for his eyes to close just yet.
“Did you tell them we weren’t coming?” he asks quietly.
Mickey combs his fingers through Ian’s hair, brushing it back off his forehead. “Yeah.”
“Did you tell them I’m…” He never really knows how to finish that sentence.
Mickey wiggles a little as he pulls his phone out of his pocket. He opens it to their family group chat—aptly named Gallaghers even if it included some strays—and scrolls back to yesterday before handing it to Ian.

Summary
“A week,” Eddie sighed. “We can do this, right?”
Eddie’s gaze was pleading, needing assurance and comfort. His eyebrows were pinched in the middle of his forehead and Buck wanted to reach out and smooth it out with his thumb. Instead, he said, “’Course we can. We’ve faced tsunamis, beenados, earthquakes, broken dams… hey, where do we think the Diaz Parents Staying For A Week ranks?”
“Most likely to end in death,” Eddie muttered.
Buck clicked his tongue as he pulled the bowls from the cabinet for the salad, “That’s the lightning strike, actually.”

The Diaz parents showing up unexpectedly to the shared Buckley-Diaz household leads to some unexpected confrontations, late night conversations, and over due confessions.

“If Bobby found out about what?” Chim flinched, turning slowly in his seat to glance back at Bobby who was looking down at him with a concerned frown.

"Tell me... Tell me we don't have to get up yet."
The words slip out of Mickey thoughtlessly, no sign of that towering wall he builds between his mind and his mouth. Otherwise there’d be no we, otherwise his words would’ve come out more of a command, otherwise Mickey would have slipped in a few expletives and made sure to grouse enough to be clear his desire was all about the wanna sleep and not about the laying in Ian’s arms.
Ian’s response comes easy. “We don’t have to get up,” he says. Earnest, always so earnest. "We don't have to go anywhere."
____Somewhere between asleep and awake, Mickey can’t help but be a little too honest about what he wants.

Ian was rifling through Mickeys bed side table, looking for a lighter while mickey was in the shower, when his hands brushed against a mustard-yellow envelope that read “Cook County Juvenile Court”.
Ian finds documents from a court ordered psychiatric evaluation dating back to when mickey got arrested in season one.
Kinda cannon complaint, but the timelines messed up.

“Fucking what?” Mickey scowls, but his fingers stretch closer.
“Stop waiting for me to leave,” he replies quickly.

As he loomed over Jason’s bed, trying to figure out his course of action, Roy opened his eyes. He immediately went wide eyed and attempted to shrink away from him.
“I expect to see you at breakfast.” Bruce told him solemnly, turning on one heel to leave dramatically. He didn’t wait for Roy’s reply before he eased the door shut again and retreated to his own room, setting the alarm for early in the morning so that there was no way any of the visitors in his house could avoid him.

“It’ll go fine.” Howie advised. “I don’t like the idea of you being there alone,” he joked with a small little smile. “But it’ll be okay.”
“I’m not alone.” Maddie teased with a matching smile of her own.
“You’re right.” Howie conceded. “You have our scary baby girl to hold everyone off.”
Maddie snorted. “I meant -.”
“I know what you meant.” Howie sobered. “I like the idea of him being there even less.”
Maddie’s stomach jolted. “Do you think I made a mistake?” She asked cautiously. “Should I have told him not to come?”
Howie waved a hand to the side. “Nah,” he shrugged. “We both know Buck’s going to Buck.”

“Gonna drive or not?” Tommy asks, poking Teddy’s shoulder as he kicks his feet up on the dashboard.
“Feet off, Tommy,” Kate groans, tossing one of her arrows at him. He catches it faster than Teddy can blink, and doesn’t listen.
“You just gonna stare?” he demands brusquely, which might’ve bothered Teddy if it wasn’t, well. Tommy. It’s his nature.
“You should probably rest on the way back,” Teddy offers gently, as he starts the van, guiding it onto the- somewhat -ruined street. “You weren’t exactly pulling your punches back there.”
Tommy’s hand jumps up to cover the nasty bruise on his jaw. “Looks worse than it is. I’m fine.”
Or,
After a mission, Teddy tried to get Tommy to rest. It’s harder than you’d think. -

“My mom died,” Buck says flatly, like reciting a fact he read somewhere. He adds a small shrug, as if that explains it. It doesn’t feel real. The words sit in the air, weightless and strange.
Eddie frowns. Bobby shifts closer.
“Are you okay?” Bobby asks gently.
Buck blinks at him, then gives a quick nod, too fast to be convincing. “Yeah,” he says. His voice is thin, brittle. “Did you want me to start lunch? I was thinking maybe that cheesy broccoli bake.”
Eddie’s brows knit together. “Buck…” he says carefully, voice low and steady.
“Or chili,” Buck continues, his hands smoothing out a crease in his jacket like that’s the thing that matters. “I think we’ve got enough ground beef.”
“Buck,” Eddie says again, firmer this time.
Buck’s hands still. He finally looks up, meeting Eddie’s eyes.
Oh.
His mom died.
