Summary
The first time they arrived here, it was in their oversized jumper that failed to hide the healing bruises and trembling shoulders. Ingrid had told them it was a safe space, somewhere for them to feel comfortable, where they could be honest and trust the adults.
Eli didn't trust any of them.
Despite what people may think, Hawk did think things through. They had dreams and plans for the future. Being the LaRusso's new foster kid hadn't been on the agenda but Hawk's adaptable.
If it means keeping a lid on their true nature so they can finish high school and stay safe, it's a small price to pay.
Laying eyes on Demetri after parting ways in the most hurtful, painful way possible was also not part of the plan.

Tubbo sighed, he supposed that was the point of moving in with her. Finally a chance at normality, even if it wasn’t real.
That’s always the goal with kids like him, who came from homes where normal meant he couldn’t use the bathrooms in the morning cause one of his dads was puking up last night's binges. Or how the floors smelt permanently of cigarette from all the butts dropped and stamped out on them.
“What are you thinking about?”
“He was eighteen.” Tubbo said, “Did I ever tell you that?”
He heard Ranboo kick his shoes against the cement, something his friend did when he knew a serious conversation was coming.
“Quackity?”
“Yeah.”
Ranboo hummed, Tubbo knew his nose would be scrunching the way it always did when he was in thought. “I-- I think so? I’m sorry, I don’t remember.”
Tubbo shook his head. “Nah it’s fine, it’s just… He was fucking eighteen.”
Or, Wilbur Soot and Alexis Quackity are both newly out of mental institutions. One wanting to get better and one not so keen on trying.
