In a fortuitous turn of events, both Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander are traded to the New York's Admirals. Cue Scott having to handle their shared chaos and his own repressed desires. The more boundaries he draws, the more he ends up crossing, to the point of questioning his own morals, as well as his sanity. As it turns out, he might be the man he suspected all along. The same cannot be said for Shane and Ilya.

Even Shane himself tries to scrutinize the situation as little as possible, watching it in shadows and mirrors like Ilya's going to turn him to stone if Shane confronts the very real and very precarious position he's gotten himself into.

She calls Hayden by his first name too, which also helps. Hayden has read some official communication before, but they addressed the team as a whole, so he knows this is different. Nathaly is talking to him to know if there’s any way he might billet for next season.

He doesn’t say anything else. The air’s so heavy around them that it feels like being in the middle of a scrum, the weight and heat of all those bodies pressing down on you. Danger always feels like hockey; it’s the most dangerous thing Ilya knows, except for this. Everything dangerous in his life involves men’s bodies and just how close he can get to them. Closer than he probably should.
Nobody knows why Shane Hollander dropped out of the 2009 draft at the last second, and a year later it stuns the whole hockey world when he's signed by the Boston Raiders. Having the two biggest stars in the league on the same line is great for Boston - but playing alongside their worst rival was never exactly in Shane or Ilya's plans. Especially not when staying away from each other starts to feel just as impossible as getting along.
