Summary
Steve's two closest friends are an anxiety ridden lesbian and a chaotic metalhead that people whisper about on the streets. Steve often got funny looks when he was out with his little trio, thinking "what the hell is he doing with those two". The thing is, Robin and Eddie are the only people that really got it. They had all been through hell together. Him and Robin twice now. Steve couldn't imagine leaving them, even if a few years ago he'd laugh at anyone that would say this was his life now. Each of them were lonely, and they each filled that void in different ways.
After going to see Labyrinth, Steve learns more about Eddie, something he didn't expect. Through new experiences and time spent together, they find their shared loneliness can be solved by one another. New bonds are formed, relationships strengthen and secrets begin. Through this and with Eddie's help, Steve finds the part of him he'd been hiding away for so long.

Steve hears them before he feels them; a warm, wet pain burning in his torso, intolerably excruciating.
There’s a bundle of squawks and screams, outbursts of panic and anger, and it’s only when Hopper falls forwards to take Steve up into a slightly rough, protective hold, does he realize that two of those shots have lodged themselves in his own flesh and bone. (Realizes that he’d moved, instinctively, to shield El, despite never having spoken to her, who’d the gun had been so precisely pointed at, aimed for.)
Steve Harrington watches his own blood pool and trickle over a series of hands pressed against him, small and large, soft and rugged, and for a moment, wants to stay like this. He can’t.

Summary
Sean just crossed the border into Mexico he starts trying to figure out his new life moving forward.
The cannon typical violence is only for a very short bit in chapter 3 it's not graphic but just want to warn people ahead of time.
Smut is only in Chapter 6 and 8 otherwise this story is safe as houses. If you do not want to read the smut it is very very easy to skip that bit without missing anything.
Recreational drug use is in chapter 7 only
