When Alastor grows a curiosity about kissing, he naturally turns to his best friend, Rosie, the self-proclaimed romance expert. She is willing to satiate his curiosities by kissing him. While Alastor originally wants to go through with it, just before their lips meet, he pushes her away, feeling overwhelmed. After fleeing the situation, Alastor disappears for seven weeks to calm himself and try to forget about their almost-kiss. It doesn't work nearly as well as he hoped. When Alastor does come back, however, he is hit with the realization of how much things have changed, especially in Rosie's life while he was gone.
