His skin, his touch, his looks, even the way his voice came from his rough and ridged mouth. It was all rough. Every child, teenager, and adult, he scanned looked away, telling him he was scary or fierce. Except for one teen. When he looked at him he wasn't intimated. He was intrigued. Travis had to figure him out, and quickly.

Travis and Sal are enemies from two very different backgrounds. While Travis is trying to survive the cult, and battle his internalized homophobia, Sal is talking to ghosts, and trying to figure out the secrets in his apartment. While the two are in highschool, they have to be around each other way too much for their liking, but when they get paired up for a group project they find out they never want to be away from each other again.

Almost all of his dreams felt like premonitions because they always became true eventually; it was only a matter of time... So why not just go out of his way to make it come true? What was the point in fighting it anymore?

Travis Phelps had spent years trying to push his "feelings" down, leaving it in the past where it seemingly belonged. Endless days of discipline and abuse had shaped Travis into the person he was supposed to be.
That is, when something puts him into an awkward living situation with Sal Fisher, the one who caused those feelings.
The two are forced to face many things together; Getting Travis out of the Phelps' Ministry, accepting his identity, and eventually the words that ceased to be spoken back then.

After returning from the mental hospital and facing even more brutality from his father then usual, Travis Phelps knows he won't be able to make friends. Everybody knows what happened before he left, and now all he wants to do is hide in the bathroom stalls for the rest of his school years. He only noticed a couple differences since coming home, that he no longer wanted to hide in his fathers shadow, and that maybe, JUST MAYBE, it could okay for him to feel the feelings he had been the most shameful for, most of his life.
Sal "Sally Face" Fisher is rather exited to see Travis back at Nockfell High. Despite all that Travis had done to him, after that encounter in the bathroom stall, he had thought mabye he could become Travis's friend, and knowing what had happened to him before he left, he can't help but pity the boy, though that most definitely isn't the only reason he wants to get to know Travis better.

Sal Fisher loves everyone, but has some trouble loving himself. After the talk him and Travis had in the school’s bathrooms, he KNOWS he can help the bleached haired blonde too. After all, helping others is the only thing he succeeded doing so far.

The blue haired man was so deep in thought he didn’t hear the door to the cafe swing open, or the little tinkling of the bell above it, he didn’t feel the gust of wind swish around him and neither did he hear the footsteps clicking against the wooden floor, but he certainly heard the awkward cough and the deep, stammered “Hey.. excuse me-”.
Or alternatively, Sal and Travis bump into each other for the first time since high school and decide to put their past behind them. What will happen between them now that they are older, more mature and more confident?

It is easy for a boy with a bleeding heart to be pushed aside. But for Sal Fisher, it's not so easy, especially when the pain is so obvious to him. But his thoughts on why this boy's heart is bleeding is not the real reason.
Travis takes up Sal's offer to become friends and a whole bunch of problems happen.
(There will eventually be a side couple between Ash and an OC and they will have a couple of chapters that are dedicated to just them that will eventually merge into the main storyline!)
