Summary
Once, in this very universe, you could say, Alternia was home to a peaceful race. Trollkind had never known the corrupting influence in their evolution which led them to perpetual war and violence... As was true of the bellicose world we know, there came to be twelve heroes on this peaceful planet. These heroes too had twelve ancestors whose fortunes were entwined with theirs.
The collected stories of the Ancestors of Beforus, revealed and commented upon by their descendants and alternate selves.

Bookmarker's Notes
Every so often I think about the Beforan Ancestors and lose my mind. We know so much about them for characters who are literally never mentioned or alluded to as individuals (other than Feferi).
This isn't the only way you could conceptualize Beforus, but it meshes perfectly with what we do know about their descendants, post-Scratch counterparts, and dancestors. There were several points where a pairing or dynamic felt odd until I remembered (for example) "This isn't just Aradia, this is Damara's Ancestor" or "He might be Rufioh's ancestor, but he is in fact Tavros" and everything made sense. The author was very smart about choosing which elements to include where, and making the whole thing feel like its own standalone story that happens to rhyme with the three we already know. There's also a decent amount of Moses imagery to tie into the Signless' Jesus imagery.
The post-retjohn meteor crew characterization is also excellent. In general, the author has a very solid understanding of all 36 relevant trolls (plus Rose and Dave) and what makes them tick. I love how no one was 100% morally pure all the time but also no one was pure evil for the sake of evil. The Makara characterization in particular was masterfully done.
Very good story! Dark without being bleak. Lovely handle on troll romance and its intricacies (especially the pale quadrant). Quality pacing.

In one moment, James T. Kirk is the acting captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise, on his way home to Earth after stopping the Narada. In the next moment, without explanation, James T. Kirk is an Academy cadet on academic probation again, barely a day before Nero will destroy Vulcan.
He dares himself to do better. And with a planet on the line and no proof but his own memories, he knows that "better" means he'll need some help.

Time-Travel Fix-It that accurately captures the vibes of both tos and aos star trek. A really good handle on the various interpersonal dynamics.

Summary
Barry had four rules for himself, to keep himself on track and focused on saving the world. No matter how much he wanted to, he couldn't break them, or he risked bringing about the end of everything.
Rule one: He could not lose control.
Rule two: He could not give up in his search for Lup.
Rule three: He could not let Lucretia go through with her plan.
And finally, probably the hardest one to keep by far,Rule four: He could not see his family.
Attacking a cooking show assistant in the back of a small caravan, Barry blows his last rule out of the goddamn water. And then he keeps breaking it. It might just be worth it though. Even without his memories, Barry could use Taako's help now more than ever.

Summary
To be fair, when the Portland Flotsam had published the article about Don Pines running for mayor, they had intended it as a satire on the quality of the candidates that were actually running for election. They did not anticipate the sheer number of people who took it to mean that Portland's local mob boss was seeking municipal office.
The large banner that was strung up outside their offices declaring support for Hank Pines as Mayor of Portland came as a complete surprise. It was the first they had heard that Hank Pines was actually in the running to become Mayor.
It also how Hank Pines himself became aware of this fact.

Bookmarker's Notes
I love Hank. Portland man insists he isn't a mob boss, genuinely believes he isn't a mob boss, is very much a mob boss. This whole situation is so funny.
Transcendence AU context for anyone who doesn't know: Hank is Mable's son. Around Dipper and Mabel's 13th birthday, an event called the Transcendence happened, the practical effect being that the weirdness bubble around Gravity Falls broke, and now there are supernatural creatures and effects everywhere. It's been a few decades and people are still adjusting.
Hank moved to Portland as an adult and started networking with the supernatural beings there, doing community outreach, helping people out, etc. He insists that the Dinner Crew isn't a mafia. No one believes him. His friends and family find the whole thing hilarious.
