But despite being 'The Golden Girl', she's shite at getting the elite to spend their galleons on her cause. She's blunt and lacking in the social graces expected of someone of her status.
Draco Malfoy has just finished serving a 3 year term at Azkaban for his part in the war-a sentence that was only lowered because of Hermione's character witness at his trial. He sees her struggling to make the right impression amongst the upper-class wizarding community and offers to give her lessons in manners and etiquette associated with closing the deals she needs to secure her dreams.
But this isn't just any kind of arrangement.
They have 10 lessons between now and the social event of the year.
There's only 1 rule: For each lesson he gives her on how to act in public, she must return a favor of his choice.

Answering him would’ve been easier, she thinks, if his distractingly bare chest wasn’t right at eye level- and if she wasn’t plagued with the very acute awareness of what she’d see if she looked down.
“I’m sorry, I don’t um, do that. With uh, other women. Not that I’m not ok with other people doing it I just- “
“Who said anything about a woman?” Comes another deep voice, and Hermione looks up to see Draco Malfoy, his wet, white-blonde hair pushed back from his forehead, clad only in a towel slung low on his hips.

He barely had time to process before one of said hunks emerged from the doorway, rendering Henry speechless and worried he was suffering heatstroke.

There’s a teddy in Soap’s bed; a beaten-up, old brown bear. Well-loved, if the state of the fur is any indication. Ghost lets out a choked laugh, mostly at his own expense. He wishes he was there, suddenly, wishes he was by Johnny’s side as he walked through the doorway and realised that his childhood room was waiting for him like a time capsule. Wishes he got to see the embarrassed scrunch of his face, the way the tips of his ears would flush red.
Soap has a whole second life, outside of the SAS. He’s got a mother, and a poorly-decorated bedroom, and a bear. All Ghost has is a flat that will be the same it is today as it will be the day he dies, like he was never even here at all.

He scrolls some more, ignoring the messages popping up. Then he spots a profile. The picture is a mirror selfie taken at the gym, cropped to exclude the guy’s face just like so many others, but Soap is pulled in by the big arms, one covered in a tattoo, and the black nail polish on his fingers. He’s built as hell, clearly more for functionality than aesthetics, and on closer inspection, his torso is littered with scars. It’s the only picture on his profile and none of the fields are filled out with additional information.
Soap bites at his lip, debating.

It takes Ghost until he’s halfway to his room to realise that Soap is weaving behind him, getting close and falling back, mad git is herding him in an effort to get back to the room faster.
“That’ll do.” He barks over his shoulder, and Soap slopes forward to walk beside him, ears drooped a little guiltily.
“Jus’ excited tae have ye back is all.” He yips happily, clearly not that apologetic about his herding, and why should he be? Ghost is known as a hard arse, but only his mutt knows that he’s probably the softest touch in the entire SAS.
