His whole hand had turned a red so dark it was almost black. A Lichtenberg figure, the analytical part of Barry’s brain supplied, Leonard’s Mark looked like a lightning burn.

Summary
The precinct has always been a petri dish of gossip without a drop of care for the truth. They’re so busy weaving tales of illicit rendezvous and scandalous affairs between a forensic nobody and the infamous Captain Cold, heavily drenched in the sort of details that would make good money in a dime-store romance novel, that any other reality is lost in the fray. A reality, for example, that saw Lewis Snart’s body slowly freezing from the inside out until he was a mockery of an ice sculpture, and then shattered life glass with a series of blows from Len’s boot.
But that could just be another rumor. After all, if it did happen, there would be evidence of it left at the scene.

Barry Allen woke up and his entire world had changed. When he was struck by lightning he had been ready to tell Iris he loved her and start the next phase of their relationship. To him it had been yesterday. To Iris it had been nine months and she had fallen in love with Eddie during that time.
He needed to get out of there. He needed to do something stupid.
And that’s where the other change both came in handy and ruined his plans. He ran from Central City to Los Vegas where he planned to drink and gamble his sorrows away. The gambling part was fine, but he found he couldn’t get drunk. He also found that with his new speed, it was a lot easier to outwit the typical tricks to the different games and gambling lost its luster early on.
So he was at the hotel bar, nursing a drink that would do nothing for him. Miserable.
“Someone that pretty shouldn’t be looking so sad,” a man with striking blue eyes said as he sat down next to Barry, “Either you’re having the worst day of your life, or you’re trying to lure some poor sap into a con.”

Summary
Barry went still, breath catching in his throat. His eyes, wide and soft, locked on Len's with the same unguarded wonder he'd worn on their first date. Lips parted, like he meant to say something but the words were caught in the net between his ribs. Len had tucked that memory away in the deepest corner of his heart — because that was the moment he'd thought, ah... I'm truly and indefinitely fucked.
Then the shrill buzz of Barry's phone echoed in the quiet, making him flinch. Len's hand fell away.
And just like that, the look in Barry's eyes vanished — wiped clean — leaving Len to be nothing but a stranger again.
Or: Where Barry gets amnesia, Len is partly amused, and they fall in love again.
(Or: Me bending time and space and canon for the narrative of this story because I accidentally went down a ColdFlash-shaped rabbit hole while looking for ArrowFlash friendship fics instead. It takes place across two days because one day wasn't enough for amnesia Barry.)
