“So,” Daniel pours a glass from the copper pot and plops a sugar in because why not? He deserves a little treat after destroying an immortal marriage. “Does he get the penthouse in the divorce? Who signed the papers?”
Armand’s fingers are rubbing back and forth in that little tell. They press hard enough that his pale nails turn white.

But a part of Will has been left behind, lost to the ravages of the Atlantic, and he longs to return to it more than he longs for the life he now shares with Hannibal. Trying to cling to a man who is fading by the day, Hannibal now faces the vast, unendurable pain of a man who is losing his love, because in a way he is—he is losing Will to the sea.

Summary
Today begins with the familiar sensation of Will’s wiry hands gripping Hannibal’s sides. There was a time when Hannibal would wake early in the morning, waiting for their routine so that he could prevent Will from hurling them over the bed. It only saddened Hannibal whenever he would see the look of defeat on Will’s face, like a bullet shatters glass. So, he lets Will attempt to kill him every morning, knowing he would fail and sometimes hoping he wouldn’t.
Will suffers from anterograde amnesia, unable to remember any day after the fall from the cliffside. Hannibal never gives up hope.

“You stay with me now, Will.” Hannibal urges, placing him back down so that he can continue compressions. He whispers please with each pump of his hands against Will’s chest and breathes life and love back into Will’s lungs. “You stay with me. You can do that, I know you can.”
Hannibal pushes and pushes and begs and goes lightheaded with the lack of air, but he cannot stop because Will still won’t wake up.

Slowly, painstakingly, he looks at Alana. Her eyes are hazy, but so gentle and earnest, and Will's heart catches as he realizes they are at cross purposes, each trying to prove opposing points: Will, that he is a monster; Alana, that he isn't. For a second his chest aches, and he thinks, Not now. Not like this. But then his eyes fall on the cut on her cheek, and he remembers that this is the only way it can be, that he has rendered all other options impossible.
Picks up at the hospital scene in 1x11.
