Summary
Buck's friendship with Eddie had shifted after he came out of his coma. It felt like they were on the verge of something, Buck just wasn't sure what. A move made by Eddie at a BBQ at Bobby's would change everything between. Lines that were blurred before could be at risk of disappearing forever. Buck wasn't sure if he should let them.
Eddie was done with dancing around the love in his heart and the sexual tension between him and his best friend. All he needed now was to tell Buck how he felt. How else to start the conversation then by pulling Buck into his lap?

“Dad said that if anything happens to him, I’ll get to live with you. He wrote it in his wish,” Chris says simply, like he’s making complete, logical sense. “And he signed it and everything.”
“His . . . Wish.” Buck repeats. “That he signed?” He’s racking his brain to think of when Eddie might have brought this up or asked him or even mentioned this, but he’s coming up with absolutely nothing. Not a word has left Eddie’s lips about a will or any future plans, but then it suddenly makes sense how he’d come home from his secret meeting a little more relaxed, and then telling Buck to go have some bonding time with Chris, and –
“Oh my god,” Buck groans, covering his face with his hands. “Your dad wrote me into his will.”
“Will!” Chris shouts, the word finally clicking, but then he quickly pauses. “I like wish better.”

His parents both looked shaken, but he couldn’t understand why. He was the one whose entire world got turned upside down, not theirs.
“So, uh,” Buck didn’t know how to do this. He and his parents never talked, “What are you doing here?”
“We came to apologize,” Philip said, “We should have told you about Daniel much sooner. We were lost in our grief, but that wasn’t fair to you. None of it was.”
His parents actually owning up to their mistakes? That was a new one.
“Uh, thank you,” Buck said. He knew he should say more, but he just didn’t know what. This was a positive thing, but that just made it even harder for him to navigate somehow.
“There’s one more thing,” Margaret said, “One more family secret that not even Maddie knows.”

“Eds, seriously,” Buck sighed, trying to find an appropriate place to hold on—or even rest his face—as Eddie hauled him up the stairs in his loft, presumably planning on throwing him onto the bed, which he couldn’t deny having had a few fantasies that began just like this.
Still, he didn’t think they were headed for that kind of fun right now.
Because the steady growl rumbling Eddie’s chest made it pretty apparent that he’d reached the end of his tether with Buck’s antics at work, even if Buck still wouldn’t change what he’d done on their last shift—which had been cut short for him, though not for Eddie.
—or—
Buck gets hurt at a scene, sparking a reaction in Eddie that is usually reserved for mates, which is especially odd since they aren’t nor have ever been dating, let alone bonded as a pair.
So when Eddie shows up at the loft after his shift, feral and lost to his wolf, he proceeds to literally lick Buck’s wounds, nuzzle his crotch, then test every last fiber of Buck’s willpower as he desperately tries to do the right thing, not wanting to take advantage Eddie in this state.
Which, for the record, he fails at—though neither is bothered by that in the slightest.

When Buck buys a Powerball lottery ticket he doesn't think much beyond his need for change to air up his tire. He forgets all about the ticket until word spreads that the winning ticket was sold in LA and hasn't been claimed yet and pretty much dismisses it. After all, there's no way he won the lottery.
Turns out no, he really did win the Powerball, to the tune of 295 million dollars and just in time for Christmas. He's going to make sure the 118 has the best Christmas of their lives. And just maybe he'll have a good one too.

Eddie frowns. He doesn’t know much about this mysterious brother of Maddie’s – doesn’t even really know much about Maddie, either, aside from being Chimney’s girlfriend – but he’s pretty sure every time he’s been brought up in conversation it’s not been particularly inspiring. “Is this the brother who flunked out of college because he spent all his tuition on a motorcycle?”
