Summary
This story follows Yasmina, Sammy, Brooklyn, Darius, Ben, and Kenji’s struggles after finally being returned home. Four years after they are left alone on an island of dinosaurs, their worlds get turned haywire as the island volcano is gearing to erupt. As their luck would have it, missionaries dock on the island to capture and evacuate some remaining dinosaurs. However, having been on the island so long, they are unused to other human interaction. They are nearly completely feral, each coping in their own way. They take a risk in order to save one of their own. A risk that could be the end of their friendship, and life as they know it. Basically my take on how their story should pan out. I wanted to make an edgy, mentally unstable, somewhat fluffy fic about my favorite camp dino characters. There will be graphic images, and pretty intense scenarios featuring mental health issues. A darker fic to be certain. Will rate it teen but that might change as we progress. Enjoy!

Summary

Zoey hums, “I mean, it’s a little weird and a tiny bit freaky, but maybe she’s just—getting more comfortable around us?”
“I don’t know,” Mira says slowly. Her brow furrows in thought. “You should’ve seen the way she looked at me when she was licking the blood off my hand. It was like she was…” Possessed? Out of it? Kinda sexy? Possibly all of the above?
Zoey quietly answers, “I think I know what you mean.”
Or, Rumi’s new, strange behavior doesn’t go unnoticed by Mira and Zoey. Maybe it has something to do with her demon side.

Finally, Zoey blurted it out, voice soft but sharp:
“Have you ever thought of… something besides monogamy?”
Mira’s thumb stilled on the screen. She looked up, slow. “…What?”
Zoey’s hands twisted in her lap. “Like—not open relationships. Just… not just one person. Have you ever thought about being with more than one person and it still being okay?”
She wasn’t looking at Mira. Her voice was tight, like it hurt to speak. Mira watched her with a furrowed brow, still quiet.
“I feel so guilty all the time. Because I love you, Mira. I love you, and this doesn’t change that, but I see her and I want to make her smile and I want her to hold my hand and I think she’s beautiful and weird and sweet and I—”
She finally looked up, tears shining in her eyes.
“I think I ruined us. And I’m so sorry.”
Mira just stared at her. Wide-eyed. Silent.
Zoey’s heart dropped. “Say something.”
Mira exhaled like she’d been holding her breath for a month.
Then she visibly deflated—shoulders dropping, head tilting back against the wall—and let out a quiet, choked laugh.
“…Oh thank god.”
