Or: Nagito locks himself in a cage, and Hajime finds out he has some deep, forgotten kinks. He is as determined to try and ignore them as he is to help Komaeda. With an internally screaming Hajime and a pining Nagito, shenanigans ensue.
(This is a longer, slow burn canon-compliant post dr3 piece, with a generally fluffy, comforting take on komahina & the cast living on the island. There's pining, a lot of pining. Plot happens. A lot of things happen, actually. Oh, and bdsm. That too :) )

“Is that so? Then I guess I’d better finish this up quickly. I missed it the last time you two played.” He picks up the crate again, letting out a small grunt of effort, and the sound makes Scara want to ball his fists for some reason, but he restrains himself. Then Sethos leans toward him, very narrowly avoiding the space Scara considered personal. “I’ll be rooting for you when I get back, Hat Guy.” He says it jokingly, but his voice drops lower as he nears him, almost lost to the chatter of the cafe, though Scara’s ears catch it easily and he pulls the brim of his hat down to try and escape showing the way it buzzes around in his mind pleasantly.
“Whatever.” He mutters lamely.
In which Scaramouche finds Sethos immensely attractive and he doesn't know what to do with himself, so he resorts to an unfailing(?) tactic: denial.

Summary
“Are we not also friends?” His brow is furrowed, and his mouth is shaped into a smile but it’s confused, like it wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be there but appeared as a default anyway. He stares at Scara, waiting for an answer, and Scara stares back, unable to give it. It seems to be the wrong choice again because after a moment, something in Sethos’ face falls, and the smile on his face becomes a little more forced, though it isn’t at all obvious. “Oh. I understand. Sorry, I guess I got a bit ahead of myself there, huh? Assuming we were friends like that.”
Scara doesn’t know how to tell him that Tighnari is different from him in the sense that Scara doesn’t think about the forest ranger at all in the same way he thinks about him. Scara doesn’t know how to tell him that there’s an ache, a want to be closer to him that isn’t present when he’s with Tighnari.
Scara doesn’t know how to speak, not around Sethos, so when Sethos turns away from him, still with that fake smile plastered on his face, Scara can do nothing to stop it.
In which Scara experiences what it's like to be in love. It's rather overwhelming for him.

He was filled with fear and uncertainty of his future. Tighnari was scared of what Cyno had said; dying alone, without anyone to comfort you. He knew his heart wanted to love and be loved in return, but the inevitable separation was already too close. It was a constant battle between the heart and the mind. All it knew was that it wanted to find someone it loved, but the fear of death made the heart hesitant to take that first step.
In which, Tighnari has shorter than average lifespan, and Cyno lives up to 700 years. Now that's a dilemma.
