When the Other uses the last dredges of the link in Loki's mind to summon him Loki has no illusions of forgiveness. He lasts about ten months before fleeing into the furthest reaches of his mind to escape the pain. For everyone else it appeared that he had escaped, slipped through Asgard's walls like the ghostly snake he is. He could come back at any time. For all they know he’s out there right now with an army, ready to strike. When he finally does come back, hurtling trough a portal, the Avenger's lives are turned upside down.

The short answer is no. I don’t think I’ve ever really loved myself... I’ve been infatuated with myself, in an overly defensive narcissistic kind of way, a little bit obsessed maybe. But at the end of the day, that's not love: it’s hate with a different hat on.

Sam doesn’t do so well after Dean and Cas get sucked into Purgatory after killing Dick.
He knows he should do something to try and find Dean, but after Cas disappeared Same felt all the Hell seeping back in. It was as if Cas had been holding it inside himself but now that he’s gone there’s nothing to stop the memories. It’s not as bad as last time, but Sam feels himself breaking down. He drives around in the impala for a while before he accidentally hits a dog. He gathers the dog up and rushes to the vet in the nearest town.
Sam’s eyes were wide as he glanced from the dog to the doctor, horrified. “I did this.”
