Summary
The Wild and the Apotheosis are two of the strongest vessels, they can break the construct. When the Shifting Mound is a bit late on retrieving her gift of a Tender Heart, the Nightmare grows to receive this strength, too.
But all she knows is how to hurt…
And so she does. She breaks the Long Quiet. Not mentally, or spiritually, or even just his will. She breaks him in a terrible, pragmatic way.
Like the Sleeping Mound, they can hope to rebuild him from the Paranoid voice that survives. Together, the Paranoid and the Nightmare must bring Voices to the Long Quiet, and Vessels to the Shifting Mound.
Hilarity ensues.

“Something always happens,” you say. “No matter how long I try to keep us in that hallway, we always open the door. We have to see things through. Just stopping, refusing to make a choice, that’s not an ending. It’s just a pause. And this place wants endings.”
She cocks her head to the side, thinking. “How does locking yourself in the basement fix any of that?” she asks after a moment.
“It doesn’t. But I didn’t want to kill you, and I knew he could make me kill you, so I wanted to take that option away. I didn’t want to die, because then this would start all over again. I didn’t want to leave you, and I don’t think I could even if I did. And I didn’t want us to leave, because then… Then I would lose you again.”
“So you picked an eternity of this,” she says, gesturing to the walls of the basement.
“I did,” you say.
You return to silence.
Again, the Princess breaks it.
"You're a coward."

AKA The Prison of the Mind ending (where you get stuck in the basement and wait out eternity) but you and the Princess actually TALK, because Prisoner said she didn't like small talk and I thought that was a missed opportunity.

Everything was normal.
So why does Natsuki now see flashes of her friends dead in front of her. Why is Yuri constantly on edge, feeling like any minor inconvenience is a thread snapped in her sanity. Why are Monika and Sayori acting like everything is normal but the world seems to be collapsing for the other two girls, threads fraying in a story they already knew? And why is it only happening to them, and how do they just make it stop.
Everything is normal, except Natsuki and Yuri have memories of something horrible happening, and neither of them know how to deal with it, but their only solace is within each other.
OR:
When you reset the game for the final time, all of the girls are supposed to lose their memories, but for some reason, Natsuki and Yuri didn't. They've seen themselves die and don't know why they're still here, but the only way to untangle their thoughts is getting closer with each other.
