Following the betrayal Sharpness had pulled on Jude, the two's previously mended relationship took a worse turn. With one's anger fueling his decisions, losing sleep and overworking himself to the brim to forget these stupid, insecure feelings he had for the other that he thought he wouldn't have caught, the other, who's impaled by guilt, their paths once again split in two.
Though, that's not how love works. It just isn't.
Because if it was, Tai wouldn't have to be listening to each of them rambling about the other endlessly.

Summary
In Unstable City, there's a lot of things that exist. Hybrids of all kinds, from dogs, to demons, to blazes. It's not unique, that's for sure, as the cities surrounding it, like Lifesteal City or Strength City, have their own quirks, and their own different hybrids of creatures and humans.
One thing Unstable City has that other cities do not, however, is an angel. Angels were hunted and killed down until near extinction for their abilities, which were said that one could receive if they ate an angel's heart.
It had been centuries since anyone's seen an angel, so that myth was yet to be proven.
Eggchan is an angel.
He works at a coffee shop. He does all the shifts, every last one, since the other employees all either ran off to be heroes, or died in the crossfire of the battles. Doesn't matter to Egg though. As long as he gets paid.
Staying safe isn't too hard.
Until heroes, vigilantes and villains alike decide that the coffee shop Egg works at is a great place to get coffee.

“Yo, guys!” Wemmbu and Flame temporarily pause their insults at the sheer loudness of the voice. Parrot slumps in relief at the lull in arguing, but the glint in the voidlings eyes makes him want to take it back. “You guys think help will get here faster if we say we have a medical emergency?”
“No, we’re not doing that,” Parrot shuts that down before it even starts.
Wemmbu leans forward in interest. “Can we veto Parrot’s decision? I personally think Spoke’s idea is funny.”
“And a crime, probably.” Flame inputs.
“A funny crime,” Wemmbu emphasizes.
“With funny consequences, like jail.”
“Depends on your mindset. I honestly think Spoke has the mindset.”
Parrot buries his head in his hands again. His voice is muffled when he screams, “Someone please get me out of here.”
His cries go unheard, or rather, they’re ignored by all three of them.
