However, the Lukas family wishes to be crystal clear that our continued investment is contingent upon the Institute taking its responsibilities with regards to privacy and confidentiality seriously.
The Magnus Institute hires a Data Protection Officer. He sets about diligently booking in meetings, writing policy documents, and training all the staff in the importance of confidentiality. Now if only he could get hold of the Head Archivist, who seems to have vanished again...
(Jon is only trying to save the world, but apparently some people think he should still be doing his day job.)

Mary can’t breathe. This doesn’t sound real, but she’s always known Tyler to be laid-back, levelheaded, and the horror in the man’s voice is undeniable. Tyler breathes shakily. “I-I knew Frank wouldn’t want to hear it. I know Charley’s married, but I wasn’t sure- listen, Mary. Gustave and Verso are out buying Christmas presents when they run into each other in the busy, narrow aisle of the Lumière bookstore. It's been years since they've seen each other, and their school days when they were friends are even further away.
But they weren't just friends, although neither was brave enough to admit their crush back then and teenage love was buried when their paths diverted when Verso moved to Paris for university.
Yet now that they are both in Lumière for the Christmas season, those feelings quickly rekindle.

“Hows Charlie boy?” Sean asked from the backseat as an up-beat country song began to play. It sounded like all the country songs Marston had in his playlist. Catchy and rhythmic with honeycomb voices over layered guitars. Arthur glanced at Sean in the rear-view mirror and looked away before they could make eye contact.
“Fine, I guess,” he tapped his thumb against the steering wheel, in time with the beat absentmindedly. Maybe it was the determined silence in the ute, or the catchy beat, but Arthur didn’t hear the words at first. It wasn’t until the second chorus he realised what he was tapping along to.
He’s bouncing off my booty cheeks I love the way he rides, I can hardly breathe when he’s pumpin’ deep inside —
Arthur whirls round in the drivers seat. Sean has his upper body turned toward the window to hide his laughter, and Marston holds a hand to his mouth, trying and failing to cover his own shuddering smirk. Arthur shunts the ute into the shoulder with the engine still running.
“Get out.”
Or, the modern AU one in which Arthur is a recently divorced single dad trying to make ends meet and raise his son away from the influence of the Van der Linde gang.
