[Time passes oddly. Between one second and the next, Sokka has the Fire Lord pinned to the wall with his hands around the bastard’s throat. Golden eyes (one gold eye, his mind whispers) widen in shock.
“Sokka?” he chokes out. And then he smiles.

Summary
It started with a job, then a small one-bedroom house, and then he learned as much of the customs as he could of the planet he was on. They really seemed to hate the Jedi, they seemed to enjoy war, and they had the most fascinating food.
Their language was one he picked up in bits and pieces over the next three years. Learning Mando’a was not exactly easy, not when he was positive at least fifty different words meant dagger or stab, but he enjoyed the challenge. One unfortunate incident with the language had left him rather flustered when a twi'lek had asked him if he wanted to play with her dagger with a suggestive look. He was still positive he had mistranslated something in his head, but the time he had merely smiled politely and quickly walked away.

Summary
Zuko had never excelled at anything. Azula was a prodigy. Uncle always knew what to say. And Father... Father was strong, iron-like. But Zuko had only ever been good at surviving. Putting one foot in front of the other in a grim show of stubborn determination, gritting his teeth and bearing it. Survival was all he had ever been taught. He knew how to do it. So when he was kidnapped by the Southern Water Tribe, he expected to fight as he always had. He didn’t expect to be taught instead how to live.
In a warring land, the Water Tribe forgave the enemy in an act of defiance. For this, he was torn from them, and this time, his wounds won't heal so easily.
Forced back into nothing but survival, the last person Zuko expected to see was Hakoda's son. Hakoda was a promise of safety. The relentless blue of Sokka’s eyes was a promise of happiness. Zuko could have both if he just reached out his hands, but he found them clutching into fists. After all, he’d been burned one too many times.
But hey, at least between Hakoda and Sokka, Zuko could appreciate the family resemblance of pure, asinine stubbornness.

We all love our clone boys and we all want to see them happy. That’s exactly what this is. May I introduce to you the Auxillary Support Squadron (ASS), made up of a group of brave Republic volunteers coming to the aid of the GAR during the time of the clone wars. The story will be a collection of one shot reader inserts with different clones and different members of ASS. These characters will be loosely fleshed out but leave space for you to imagine yourself in their shoes. I’m hoping that each character will have some sort of nickname to differentiate them through the different stories. I will add warnings for each one shot. It is not my intention to copy anyone’s ideas though I do know there are many of these types of stories out there. These were written largely for my own enjoyment but I’d like to share them with all of you in this time of need for the fandom. Enjoy!
