“It does?” Luo Binghe doesn’t even glance at it. His eyes are doing that strange thing where they don’t seem to catch the light, swallowed by shadow no matter the angle. “Well, I suppose that would make sense.”
After spending three years away from Qing Jing, Shen Yuan returns to meet Luo Binghe—an outcasted, but sweet boy. There's something unsettling about him, and Shizun despises him, but Shen Yuan likes this new shixiong a little too much to care.

Here, Mu Qingfang intervenes. “Shixiong, Disciple Shen is still too weak to move around. He still needs to stay here and recuperate his strength.”
Behind his fan, Shen Qingqiu’s expression is inscrutable. His eyes are tight when he looks Shen Yuan up and down once more, as though giving his own assessment.
“He will live,” Shen Qingqiu says.
Then, without any warning, Mu Qingfang looks straight into his eyes and suddenly asks, “Shixiong, is everything alright with you these days?”
Shen Yuan’s jaw drops. What professional demeanor, what mild temper? Is Mu Qingfang courting death, to ask the viper Shen Qingqiu something so abrupt? Aiya, of course there’s something wrong with him—why else would he be so cranky and awful all the time?—but there’s surely no need to point it out so blatantly!

He’s been sparring with the Hood, Gotham’s newest vigilante, but Hood doesn’t know Tim as Tim, he knows Tim as Jason, but Tim knows that Hood is actually Jason, and honestly, Tim’s just writing the rules up as he goes.
And the stakes are only getting higher. After tragedy strikes the Drakes, Tim ends up in Bruce’s care just as a new series of gruesome crimes plagues Gotham. More than ever, Bruce is determined to keep Tim out of it.
Tim does not keep out of it. (And there are consequences to starting fights you don’t know how to win).

It’s been two months since Bruce has allowed Tim to go out as Robin, and every night Bruce patrols the city alone. Gotham’s shadowy knight is stalking the streets for a vigilante that seems to forethink his every move, and at the same time, dead ends; false trails; and strange, macabre clues haunt both the Batman and Bruce Wayne.
Meanwhile, Tim drinks stupid protein shakes made with milk from Wisconsin cows and fails online Precalculus. They are, Tim thinks bitterly, right back where they started.

On the front porch, someone has left a delivery in the form of a generic white plastic bag with HAVE A NICE DAY in big black letters above a yellow smiley face. The wind flaps the receipt taped to the top, and Tim pins it with his crutch to read an order for two takeout cheese coneys, not with Tim’s name Sharpied on it, but one BRUCE WAYNE.
Tim takes another step forward and peels the bag back with the rubber end of his other crutch.
It is a very bad delivery mixup.
Because Bruce, he thinks immediately, insanely, something between a laugh and vomit washing up the back of his throat, has probably not ordered a severed head.
