But where was Hiccup?That question would have preoccupied dragons and humans alike. Were it not for a girl lying between Toothless’s wings, protected by the dark dragon. White hair, white wings, and a white tail pointed to a dragon, if the rest of the girl weren’t obviously human.
But who was SHE?
Reborn after her fall, between the wings of her dragon, Hiccup awoke. Much to the shock of the dragons and Vikings.
The Princess of the Dragons, now finally awake, is about to experience a great deal. From exploring and getting used to her new body, to her reign over her dragon people, and the ongoing conflicts between humans and dragons, she has a lot ahead of her.But one thing is clear: Whatever may happen, Hiccup will never be alone.

Ever since Mildew convinced his dad to send the dragons away from Berk, Hiccup has had a bag packed. There’s a blanket in there, oil, an extra spring for his leg. Fresh strips of soft leather and rivets, in case the straps that go around his thigh pull away from the wooden socket again. Medicines for pain and infection. Bandages for the blisters he gets on his limb. Sewing needles and gut in case Toothless’s tail tears, sturdy cord to replace worn cables. Waterskins, dried fruit and fish. A hammer and chisel and knife, but too many of Gobber’s tools would be noticed.
Everything they might need if they had to leave in a hurry.

AU where Hiccup and Toothless leave in "When Lightning Strikes," but a lot of things are going to need to change on Berk before it's safe to come home again.

Hiccup never wanted the chieftainship and always had a thirst for knowledge. Toothless gave him wings to achieve everything he had always wanted. When he fled Berk, he never imagined he would end up involved in a war of hunters, and that this war would bring him back to Berk more than five years later.
Not as Hiccup, but as the living legend of the Dragon Master, the one responsible for putting an end to the attacks on the islands of the archipelago.

Feeling unwanted and concerned with his future in dragon training, Hiccup spends more and more time with Toothless, even considering him his very best friend and the only being that matters on the island.
After the first flight with Toothless, Hiccup realizes the opportunities that have opened up and starts planning. Due to his continuous planning, Hiccup was never very good at dragon training. Without Astrid being suspicious, Hiccup and Toothless discovered the nest on their own and much sooner. This discovery helped speed up planning and the very next night they were gone. Seven years later, Berk is desperate for solutions to their dragon problem. Raids have become more and more common and Berk is barely hanging on. Not only are the raids getting worse, but now Drago Bludvist is knocking on their shores.OR: Hiccup leaves in the middle of Dragon Training and through several hard lessons becomes a very darker and more ruthless while loyal man; becoming the bloodthirsty viking his father so wanted when provoked. Returning to Berk to end Dragos' terror and inadvertently reuniting with all of his old peers in the process. How will Berk respond to this darker version of the once Hiccup the Useless?

"Exile still seems the best option, Stoick..."
Stoick should have known better. While he didn't know much about his son-especially now-he knew the boy was clever. It should have been no surprise when a guard burst into the Council Meeting and revealed that Hiccup had escaped the cell Stoick put him in...hours after the boy was revealed to have saddled a dragon.
Hiccup is gone, and so is the beast.
They search, but do not find him. Berk falls asleep one night and awakens in the Great Hall, where the torches come to life and cast an image of their isle on the wall, from which floats Hiccup's voice, years younger.
AKA, Hiccup forfeited the final challenge, leaving Astrid with the right to kill the Nightmare. Story picks up in the Race to the Edge era, except Berk never learned the truth of dragons, no one knows how Hiccup really lost his leg, and stories of a hooded 'vigilante' riding a Night Fury have been long whispered...and Berk will see it all unfold.

Learning that they are going to be watching the end of the generations long war, most settle in eagerly while others are concerned how they will react.
I do not own HTTYD, it is Dreamworks and Cressida Cowell's. I am just borrowing their story. There is full script in this! I implemented it this way in order to keep everything in order and assure everyone knows where in the movie we are.
