As everything stalls out in Siberia, his thoughts, his suit, his blood dripping from his wounds, Tony knows one thing for sure: when Pepper told him to rest, she didn't mean it like this.
To be fair, though, when he wakes up after Siberia, he doesn't get much rest at all. There just isn't time for it, not when he's got the whole future to change.

In the year 1857 AC the journal of the king that solidified the rule of the Baratheon dynasty was found. The surprisingly frank and direct journal entries give Dr. Hedda Barath a rather unique insight in what life was in Westeros 1500 years ago.
With growing unease, I note that the so venerated Maesters at Oldtown have started to adjust the events of my reign in a nearly utopian narration. Gone are the mistakes I made in my reign, gone are the hunger and thirst, the blood and the sickness, only the glory and honorable deaths are left. Dad goes on TV and tells the world that Spider-woman killed a kid who ate at his table, and tells police to find her and bring her to justice. All the while Spider-woman is sleeping in the bedroom across from him and hides her costume in a drum set that he paid for.
He even helps Spider-woman take down her pride flag and set it on the dining table.
"What are we writing?" he asks when Gwen brings out the fabric marker. "Trans rights are human rights?"
"No," she answers. "Here, I'll show you."
She wants to tell him then: take out the mask or crawl on the ceiling or something, as he's writing PROTECT TRANS KIDS just so Dad knows that he's telling the world to point a gun at his trans kid.

By the time a man realizes that maybe his father was right, he usually has a son who thinks he's wrong.
For Robert, that was V. For V, that was David. For David, that was dealing with the revelation that he now had a father in his life. Now had the man who was supposed to help raise him. Help him with his problems, and maybe extend the courtesy to his friends. So far, V had come through on most of that...albeit nearly eighteen years late. The man had given him and his mother improved places to live. Supplied him and his friends with plenty of gear and work to stay sharp.
But David knew V has his own problems to deal with. Corporate beauracy. Shades of his past casting shadows on the present that threatened to take away everything he had worked to build. V hadn't shied away from his problems, and David wasn't about to let the favor go unreturned.
