“As far as I can tell,” you say, “there is currently one person in here that could hope to know what the fuck that feels like, even just a little. He also has very beautiful feet, and he’s very good at killing things, which are like, my two biggest kinks.”

“The Doo-Doo Zone”: a queer abolitionist reading of the Glenn Close trial arc and the carceral imaginary in the podcast Dungeons and Daddies by Roselightfairy
Fandoms: Dungeons and Daddies (Podcast)

Summary
The podcast Dungeons and Daddies, a roleplay podcast that uses the Dungeons & Dragons system to explore themes of fatherhood and generational trauma, includes a complex story arc in which one of the main characters, Glenn Close, is imprisoned and stripped of his title of father. I examine this arc using abolitionist scholarship, arguing that the trappings of the fantasy universe of Faerûn (and the inventions of the players) create a fictional scenario that tellingly represents the extent of carceral power in the “real world.” However, a queer reading of both this arc and Glenn Close’s approach to life and fatherhood reveals the potential of queer defiance to break free of carceral bonds and reimagine life and modes of relation.

“What you got in your past you'd like buried?” – Trapper
Follows on immediately after the events of ‘George’. Having successfully blackmailed Frank out of reporting Private George Weston, Hawkeye and Trapper celebrate with a drink before Hawkeye’s previously-scheduled date with Lt. Mitchell, but a little too much gin leads the conversation down a path Trapper never expected it to take. (Contains some sexual references.)

It wasn't that Adam listened to the comments from other Aglionby boys about "the brain and the brawn" or took any of their gold-plated opinions into account.
It was the fearless, almost insubordinate, nature of Ronan's rolled up sleeves. Two handprints encircled his wrists, a deep violet, darker than any mark Adam had ever seen. Gansey sported a matching color on both palms, as if he'd dipped them completely in paint.

Questions like: what makes someone your soulmate? Questions like: why do so many people get married even if they aren't soulmates? Questions like: who ever said it was a boy?
