After an especially shitty shift, Sonar is just trying to get through his final mission of the night. But something goes terribly wrong, and he's backed into a corner. As the panic and stress of the day overwhelm him, the creature inside of him lets loose, burying the logical reasoning with violent, animalistic instinct.
There's only one person, a certain demon lady, experienced enough with Sonar's crashes to help him out of them. To help him come back to himself, to come home.

Sonar stares into the ceiling. “I'm managing,” he says. “I'm occupying myself with heavy, philosophical thinking so I don't give into the urge to bash my head in with a rock.”
It's true. He's antsy. He has been, for this past week. He wishes he could get back to work as soon as he can, regain that sense of normalcy he foolishly gambled away. But there's been so, so many foreign things he's snorted or rubbed in his gums during his stay with the Red Ring that leave him a husk today. A snake with skin that refuses to shed.

Perhaps he could have been more... polite, in his refusal of her touch, at least the first few times. He simply saw a hand wrapped in green approaching his face and he responded. The regret that washed over him at the sound of her yelp - startled and pained, a tragic accessory to the tremor in her wrist born from him grasping it so tight - was overwhelming, almost suffocating, and yet... he did it again, the next attempt she made. And the one after that, and the one after that.
Nevertheless, for reasons unknown, she persisted.

Tiangou raised his head and narrowed his eyes at Red Son from under the table, as if this was new information for him.
“An incident which you were involved in as well, noodle brain!” retorted Red Son.
Tiangou turned to MK, who scooted his chair back with a nervous laugh.
Mei scratched Tiangou behind the ears. “Well it seems to me that Tiangou has just been trying to take a bite out of the wrong red “son” lately, hahahaha!” she leaned back laughing at her own joke, clutching her stomach as she laughed. She knocked her knee against Red Son next to her. “You get it? Bec-”
“Yes, yes,” he grumbled.
