Keeping to yourself was pretty easy to do. No one at school wanted to be your friend, on account of your ‘demonic’ eyes. Even as you grew older and went to college, you still felt like an outsider. You knew a few people, but they were closer to acquaintances than friends. You preferred your solitary lifestyle.
