Idia's immediate reaction is to scoff. Obviously, he was going to win.
Unfortunately, he hadn't been quiet and now Azul's sweet smile is being directed at him. Maybe at a glance it would seem friendly. But for some reason it caused Idia's anxiety to spike. Like there was something sinister under that smile.
"Is something wrong?" Azul asks.
Idia just shakes his head again.
___________________________________The boardgame club had always been a safe haven for introverts. A quiet place where they could get away from the overbearing pushy types that dominated Night Raven College. So you can only imagine Idia's horror, when he and Ortho accidentally bring an extrovert into their club, by inviting him to play a game with them.

"It's not just my phone Idia. I don't have my wallet or mage stone either."
"Crap." Idia starts patting down his pants again.
"You didn't consider that before? Honestly…"
"Hey. I'm not thrilled about this either, so you can drop the attitude."

Idia wakes up in a hotel room he's never seen before. If that wasn't confusing enough, for some reason he's sharing a bed with Azul. To make things even worse, Azul doesn't know where they are either and they seem to missing all their belongings.But the most baffling thing is that everyone who claims to know them, is convinced they're a couple.

One impulsive grab later, Riddle finds himself sitting on Floyd's lap while the Octavinelle student decides that the dorm leader makes a perfectly comfortable pillow. Somehow, the argument ends with both of them falling asleep in the garden.
Cater Diamond happens to walk by.

Floyd steps closer to Riddle again, reaching to gently grasp the red-head’s chin between his index finger and his thumb to force eye contact. Unsurprisingly, the touch makes Riddle’s face flush again. “You really ought to follow the rules, goldfishie… I’m not in the habit of eating cute little fish.” What? That really doesn’t sit right with Riddle…
Azul forces a laugh, clearly trying to play off Floyd’s comment as a joke. “Don’t scare him, he’s perfectly safe. Nothing will happen to him. Right, Floyd?” He forces out Floyd’s name, trying to hint at another meaning without saying it. Riddle doesn’t like this conversation—and he couldn’t figure out what was lurking beneath their words.
Floyd rolls his eyes, letting go of Riddle’s face. “Yeah, yeah, it’s just a joke. Goldfishie wouldn’t break the rules anyways so he’s fine, yeah?” The look in his eyes gets more serious for just a moment and Riddle nods, feeling his throat tighten from his nervousness at the situation.

Instead of Shane, it is Ilya who suffers a concussion during the Boston-Montreal game in April 2017. Dazed and agitated, Ilya briefly starts speaking and responding only in Russian and the medics can’t calm him down. Luckily, Shane started studying Russian after Ilya spoke to him in Russian on the phone from Moscow. For no particular reason. Certainly not because he’s fallen in love with Ilya Rozanov.
In Montreal with lingering concussion symptoms, Ilya is advised not to fly home for a few days, and the hospital won’t release him without assurances that he has someone to stay with him until his symptoms improve. Luckily, Shane conveniently has a condo in Montreal no one knows about and a few days before he has to travel again.
But Ilya’s symptoms don’t resolve after a few days. Which is okay; Shane can handle it. He can take care of Ilya, study Russian, lead his team into the playoffs, and keep Ilya’s continued presence in Montreal a secret. He can do everything, no problem. He is Shane Hollander after all.

Mismatched eyes traced the outline of pale skin, his left hand clenched tightly around Riddles' wrist.
Guiding the limb slowly up towards his mouth as his warm breath swept over the pale skin. Floyds' lips pressed gently to the inside of his wrist, the ghost of pointed teeth grazing the skin there. Riddles' breath hitched in response to his advances, that beautiful red flush Floyd loved filling out his cheeks.
"Floyd... talk to me" Riddle breathed into the quiet, night air.
Floyds' eyes lingered on the pools of grey that scoured his expression for any hint at what he was thinking. His goldfishie was persistent, but he couldn't risk putting him in any danger.

“We can pretend,” she sang with an upswing in her tone. “C’mon, you can’t tell me this wouldn’t be the coolest contest to win and that it’s not practically made for us! ... honestly, it’s not like we’d have to change all that much. Half our friends already think we’re dating anyways–”
“What–”
“And if we just told everyone we were, they would all totes be on board. Trust me they stan.”
“They what?” Wednesday was just as confused with the slang as the topic, but Enid stood up and continued as if she was keeping up.
“This would actually be a perfect way to come out as a couple. I could say that we’ve been keeping it under wraps since we all know how you are,” Wednesday stood up and followed her roommate as she began to wander during the explanation of what was unfurling into some sort of teen romance masterplan. “But since we wouldn’t be able to participate in this contest without everyone finding out,” she abruptly turned around, causing the follower to stop short, “BAM! Here we are, world!” Enid beamed.
Finally an adventure without bad guys or danger… or was it?
