Summary
Nightwing's head twitches at the sound of Jason’s footsteps. Jason pulls the eyepiece from his face at a cool pace, but his lenses are squeezed shut when he can finally see the white.
Given he hasn't had much of a response the whole time they've been talking, Jason says, “Nightwing. Are you with me?”
A scowl flashing over his face makes Jason laugh mockingly. “I’ll take that as a yes.” Nightwing twitches under his fingers. “Nice to see you again.”
The last time being, of course, when Nightwing was jacking around with one of his operations two and a half weeks ago and Jason shot him. That was the best part of his night; The rest had been boring reconnaissance. Seriously, his ass is still sore from sitting in one place for hours.
Nightwing licks his lips and clears his throat like a rattle, but still only manages a dry whisper when he retorts, “Wish I could say it is.”
Lame-ass retort.

Jason gets a call about his men teaming up with a pair of vigilantes to take out one of his targets, which they didn't even ask him about. When he goes to retrieve them, he takes Nightwing, too. He's just trying to do his job, why does it still work when Dick cries at him?
