Summary
After tearing his UCL his sophomore season at Texas Tech, Patrick has options. He can recover and attempt to keep playing football, or he can quit. When he fights with his parents about not pursuing the NFL or MLB, Patrick moves to Kansas and joins the Kansas Highway Patrol Academy. Months later, he's a sworn trooper.
By 2024, Patrick has much bigger worries than the soulmark on his arm. He cares little about which NFL player is dating which pop star, not when he's busy writing traffic tickets, kicking down doors, trying to keep drugs off the Kansas Turnpike, and buying his K9 partner pup cups. Tayvis? He doesn't know what that is, not until a manhunt lands him in the lap of a handsome NFL player.
He does not get paid enough for this, but at least his coworkers find his misery funny.
Between causing drama on twitter for doing his job, figuring out his place in an already established relationship, and having two famous soulmates... He has his hands full. Especially when a drunk driver pukes on his boots at 3:00am for the second time in a year.
